Joyful noises and good news fill the pages of Scripture. Music is at the heart of our worship and is selected to connect all that we say and do. Hymns are chosen from the diverse hymnody of the church to reflect the teachings and truth found in the scripture we hear during that worship experience. We use the Revised Common Lectionary for worship planning and preparation with worship service readings presented from the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible. The Call to Worship is drawn from various sources, including the Book of Psalms. The Calder congregation shares the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month as well as for the celebrations of Christmas, the New Year, Maundy Thursday, and Easter.
In addition to worship each Sunday morning, Calder offers worship services on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter.
Vesper Services We offer Sunday evening Vespers service monthly. The services are conducted in the congregational Gathering Room and provide a time for reflection, song, listening, and prayer. The schedule for the services is available by contacting the church office.
